Campaign Corner - Senator Kennedy

As we sit here piddling in J-Land, we have CNN on for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).  Whether you are a fan or not, Ted Kennedy has been in the senate for the third longest in history.  He is an American Icon, and with his recent brain tumor situation, I say, "Hats Off to You Senator."  He has earned our respect if nothing else.

I haven't always agreed with Sen. Kennedy, but I have great respect for him, and he is still an incredible speaker. His presence brought a tear to my eye.

... yes he is ... I want to believe in his role as a stalwart for liberal ideaology ... now that he is in the embers of his career, you can only hope for someone to fill his role on the nation level ...

Overall, I was never a fan of his, but I did appreciate some of what he did on behalf of education. When I was younger, I'd get IRATE very easily over cover your own butt first people. Now that I am older, I see that particular group is much larger than many want to admit, so I cut him more slack at 43 than I would have at 23 or even when I was 33.

He has a very big place in our history, I wish him a healing, peaceful as possible, life at this time.

Hats off, indeed.  He has been, and still is, one of the most important and inspiring figures in America.

If a person does alot of good for his fellow man-- but still helps design laws and legislation to murder the unborn or cut the heart and soul our of our brave military in this ultra dangerous world--  I don't believe I would take my hat of for him....
No one is perfect on this earth-- but we hold our leaders up to a higher level of trust and honor, don't we??
Just my humble opinion.
