Sun Diego :o)

Wow, what great weather down here in Southern California, San Diego.

The ride into town yesterday was priceless, we had the top down on the rental, and cruised into town.  The Hotel at Shelter Island, in the San Diego bay, is old school - Tiki Motif :o)

After a nice day at the golf course, a little longer than desired due to my brother having to take off for a limo job, and he did not get back until 2.5 hours after I finished my golf game (he was able to play the first ten holes with me).  It made for a long afternoon.

So, after I got cleaned up a bit, Beth and I headed out to an oyster bar restaurant that we saw on our drive in - The Brigantine.  They have been in San Diego for 40 years, have their own "wine" label from Sonoma, and it was an excellent experience.

We had our Oysters on the half shell, some sour dough bread, a bowl of clam chowder for me, and Ahi for Beth and stuffed shrimp for me.  It was wonderful, and we shared a bottle of the Brigantine Chardonnay :o)

We finished off with Espresso Ice Cream (yum!). It was a wonderful evening, and we walked there and back, so got to walk off some of the wonderful food :o)

Again, the whole philosophy of looking at life from a positive perspective, with the glass being half full, versus empty, paid dividends.  The table next to us was a hoot, and several of their five diner's looked over at us, and stated that we looked like a happy couple, and over the course of 30 minutes or so, bantered back and forth.  It was really enjoyable, and a true example of how Karma intertwines in your daily experiences :o)

Let's see, you are in love & happily married, have a positive attitude, work hard at a job you like, & drink lots of wine & eat lots of good food. I think you are on to something. ~Mary

Yeah, that was fun! That table was quite a combination...there was a preacher, an engineer, a real estate guy...and I'm not sure what the one guy and his wife did, but he had one of the heartiest laughs I've ever heard! The kind of laugh that makes you laugh along.

Fun night!

Sounds like you two are having a great time there!  Your perspective of life, the glass being half full instead of half empty, only way to do it!  Have a blessed rest of the weekend!

Sounds like you're having a great time.  Now, I don't want to make you feel homesick or anything but back east we're having thunder, lighting and furious rain.

... whew ..!  glad to see your philosophy written down ..!  There are times when I feel I am the only one glad to have his half of glass ...

... cause it simply beats having a glass of absolutely nothing ..!

... didn't the Village People make a song about San Diego ..?
