Today is a mixed bag for me. I am working from home, so it is kind of like the start of the weekend. But I am working from home, so it is not quite the same as having a day off. We got some much need rain last night and today (off and on), but it seems that it has pretty much moved east. Made for kind of a gloomy morning.
So, since it is now 4:00 P.M., I can say that my long weekend has officially started :o) Monday is a Qualiday for us at work (a day off to give us a long weekend to improve our quality of life by having more time with family). We are getting a total of five of these days, one per month for the rest of the year.
We are looking forward to an awesome weekend. The first game of the Notre Dame season starts tomorrow, and we are back to our football time finger food dinner planning (cheese, apples, baked brie cheese, summer sausage, vegetable-platter...), and will enjoy the open of their season. On Sunday, we are heading out to brunch to meet our friend Lee and some of his friends, who is up for a wedding from Florida. Then on Sunday, it is Bears beating playing the Colts. A rematch of the year before last Super Bowl.
Hope you are easing into your weekend, I know I am enjoying having a break from the last two weeks of political whirlwind.

Yah Beth....(sorry I got caught up in Beth's enthusiasm). Sounds like your in for a great long weekend. Paul hasn't slowed down since just before Labor Day. He won't have a day off for at least two weeks with school in session and playing almost every evening and all the weekend at weddings....Poor guy is exhausted but he lives to play his guitar.
